A few weeks ago, we
featured an inspiring couple, who renew their vows yearly!
In today's post we're giving you the 411 on vow renewals. We think renewal of vows are super sweet and meaningful, especially when celebrating major milestones in your marriage! Some celebrities have been known to renew their vows annually. While this may not be realistic for most, you can celebrate every 5, 10, 25 year of marriage.
Who can have a renewal? Anyone who is married can have a renewal of vows. They can be a surprise or planned out. You can renew your vows privately or in front of friends and family. It's all up to you. We personally like a mix of both!
What needs to be planned? You need an officiant or family/friend to officiate the ceremony. Since you are not legally tying the knot, a friend or family member can easily perform the ceremony without being ordained. You need to figure out where the ceremony will take place, on the beach, a park, chapel or church. Decide if you want to celebrate your commitment privately or have a bash - which can be formal or informal. You can have a backyard BBQ or a recreation of your wedding, the possibilities are endless!
When should a renewal of vows take place? In terms of ideal time, just like any other event it depends on the details. If you are having a full blown reception, you'll want to have it on a weekend. If it's only the two of you, you can do it durring the week.
We love, LOVE and feel it should be celebrated and kept alive. Renewing your vows can reinforce why you two said "I Do."
What do you think about vow renewals? Would you do it all over again?
